Ann and Jean arrived today, having driven out from Wisconsin, and immediately got to work. They started with a fun part: taking down the rotten old fence where the shed would be. Prying out the nails.
Tapping out nails. (Jean: "I told a friend we were coming out to Massachusetts to build a shed with my nephew, and she asked if we knew how to do it. I was like, are you kidding? My dad was always building all kinds of things with us - we built all kinds of things over the years. I don't remember ever holding a baby rattle. But I definitely remember holding my first hammer. Now it's time to impart that knowledge to the next generation of women.")
